Western Fairfax Christian Ministries (WFCM) announced a new three-year, $100,000 partnership with Starwood Capital Group (Starwood). Its sponsorship of WFCM’s Chantilly Free Food Market will help ensure access to nutritious food and essential resources for families experiencing food insecurity throughout Fairfax County.

In addition to its sponsorship, Starwood recently hosted a food drive that stocked the market shelves with more than 6,000 cans of food. The effort will help ensure a steady supply of pantry staples ahead of the busy summer months when demand for food assistance increases.

"Starwood is honored to support Western Fairfax Christian Ministries and to be part of the incredible work they do," said Anthony Balestrieri, Managing Director at Starwood Capital Group. "Organizations like WFCM are the backbone of strong communities, which we believe are built through partnership, compassion, and long-term investment in people. We are proud to support WFCM's mission."

Western Fairfax Christian Ministries provides food assistance and emergency financial support to families at risk of hunger and homelessness in western Fairfax County. Through programs including Free Food Markets, a satellite refrigerator distribution network, and housing assistance programs, WFCM serves hundreds of families each month.

“Thank you to our Key Business Sponsor Starwood Capital Group,” said Harmonie Taddeo, Executive Director at WFCM. “It takes great partnerships to connect thousands of community members with resources. WFCM is truly blessed by our partners who enable us to provide assistance that keeps families safely housed and nourished.”

David Hillelsohn, Dulls Regional Chamber of Commerce Chairman, attended the unveiling on behalf of the Chamber. “This partnership between Western Fairfax Christian Ministries and Starwood Capital Group highlights how many hands can come together to make the profound impact needed to serve in a community,” said Hillelsohn, “Thank you to each of the member organizations who choose to prioritize taking care of others.”
